Disaster hit the poultry section on June 18th.  Mr Fox and his mate got through the electric fence and carried off 16 chickens and cockerels leaving two others injured. This after an earlier raid when he carried off a couple of chickens and a sitting goose. As a result we no longer have any eggs for sale I am afraid but are working to get some more.

As for sausages, it has been more difficult to take the animals to an abattoir since our local one closed. It was only 25 minutes away. Now we have to travel to Chippenham. Then things were made worse when Monika fractured her wrist so sausage make was out of the question for a while. things should be on course in a couple of weeks.
